The transformation of social life in the digital age is not only related to increased connectivity, but also demonstrates a profound reconstruction of how individuals understand, internalize, and display social values. Social media has evolved into a cultural ecosystem mediated by algorithms, which actively shape moral orientations and patterns of value consumption in society. This study aims to examine how social media practices, digital cultural consumption, and algorithmic mediation collectively contribute to the transformation of social norms in contemporary society. Using a systematic literature review and critical thematic synthesis of Scopus publications from 2021-2025 and global digital research reports, this study identifies three main dimensions: (1) the reconfiguration of social values through globally oriented digital culture consumption, (2) the normalization of new social behaviors through algorithmic mechanisms, and (3) the shift from collective conformity to personalized morality in the digital public sphere. The results of the study show that social media no longer functions merely as a means of communication, but has become a socio-technical infrastructure that produces and legitimizes new moral codes through visibility, repetition, and user participation. Algorithmic logic determines the boundaries of behavior that is considered socially acceptable, while participatory culture reinforces the personalization of morality based on authenticity and self-expression. This study offers a new analytical framework that links cultural consumption theory with algorithmic governance, and provides a new perspective for understanding the moral and normative consequences of digital media practices in the algorithmic era.
